The Garden is in

It is done. The garden is in. We have been rushing to get it in before our vacation. We leave on Friday. We all pitched in as a family to do the planting. The kids had so much fun. They ended up pretty muddy by the time we were done. Our garden is bigger than ever this year! We actually are letting another family use some of our land to plant a garden for their family. So we have two families gardens at our house. Now we just have to keep up on the WEEDS. Yikes.

Naughty Blogger update

I have been such a naughty blogger! I am sorry. I have not been blogging like I should. Here is an update about what we are up to.

Nate has been going fishing and doing yard work with all his spare time. He has gone to tounaments, and a nice trip with his brothers. The yard seems never ending. We could easily work on it full time and never be done. I am sure everyone feels that way. Nate does a really good job and he makes things look nice. We are getting ready for planting the garden. Traditionally it is always the weekend after Mother's Day.

Nate and Aubrie are enjoying the last weeks of school. They have had field trips and read-a-thons. They think May has been the best! Nate's teacher even sent home a note saying no more spelling words/tests officially for the rest of the year. We got a trampoline for Easter, so they have been on it nonstop. They both are signed up for T-ball and Coach pitch. That will be starting soon.

Grayson recently had a trip to the ER. He split open his forhead on the bars of his cousins trampoline. We were able to glue it and not have stitches. He talks about it all the time. He loves to tell people he had to go to the hospital. He has learned to pedel his bike this spring. He now rides everywhere. Good thing I own the entire end of the road, because he is always in the road! Besides the trampoline and his bike, he rides his scooter, plays soccer, baseball, golf. The kid is always outside!

I have been spring cleaning! YUCK! I hate to admit it, but I have hauled out 12 large black garbage bags from just Aubrie and Nates rooms. I am unsure how it all got there. We even found 5 of the same toy. It was a McDonald's toy, but 5. Apperantly we went all the time for a short while. We currently haven't been recently.

My pregnancy is 12 weeks now. I am starting to not get sick very often now. We let the kids play with the ultrasound machine last night. They had fun peeking at the baby. It helped it to feel more real for them. I do have access to the machine, in the office I work at, anytime I want so they came up after hours. Nate is learning-by trial and error-to do a pretty good job at an ultrasound. By the time we're done he should be a pro.

We are planning our family vacation. We are going to Florida to visit my cute sister. We are so excited and the time is getting closer. We will of course go to Disney World. We will Power vacation for one week and relax vacation for one week. I am trying to have a balance. Some of the other things we will be doing is Deep Sea Fishing, Blue Man Group (Per Alicia and Dane THANKS GUYS!), Gatorland, St. Augustine, Islands of Adventure and possibly parasailing(Uncle Nate wants to do that pretty bad).

We are going to Florida because Alicia and Dane live there. Well, now Emily and Charles live in Chicago. We are going to have to go there next. According to her blog it looks great so far.

Things are good and busy. I will try to be a better blogger.

This is what happens when you drive up the traintracks.

Last night my dad was driving the train and came across this red ford truck. Two old men were on their way home after their mothers funeral. They decided to take a back way. When the plan didn't work out so good, they decided to drive up the tracks. Of course they got stuck and eventually a train came along. They got out and ran out of the way before the collision.

Girls weekend

This weekend I attended a fabulous Girls Weekend. It was two days of all girls being wild, young, and crazy!

Friday we attacked Cedar City with a scavenger hunt. We ran wild through the streets and businesses collecting the necessary items. We even had a petition to end winter. (Some refused to sign this :( ! ) Then we had a delicious dinner. We did skits. To end the day, we played Rock Band until all hours of the morning. When it came time for bed, I decided to sneak home. ha ha. I snuck out the garage and ditched my sleeping bag on the floor. (Yes, I actually snuck out to see Nate. Is this the same old story or what) Anyway I was back by breakfast. After breakfast we had a few more fun things we did before we took off to St. George for the day. We went to the temple. I had to sit by my self and not by my friends for fear of giggling during the session. I made it! Then we went to lunch and tormented our waiter at IGGIES. We tipped him well for putting up with us. We were not acting our ages that was for sure. Then it was off to laser tag! My laser tag name was twister, and I got the highest points!! It was great. After laser tag, we hit the stores. It was shopping time. We ended up home around 9 pm.

That was when I remembered I had the lesson in primary and had promised treats. We have 9 am church. I presented my class with a wonderful surprise. To go with the dark circles under my eyes, they got to watch a MOVIE!! What is better? They had no idea why I didn't have a lesson.

Girls weekend was a blast. It was their 5th annual one. I am a first year, so I got to sport a hot pink Duh-nce hat. I will be going again. I encourage all who want to attend next year to join us.

What is this?

What is this? Where are the spring flowers? This was what we woke up to at our house. Our kids were not excited to walk to the bus. Just looking at the pictures makes me cold. I did give them a ride to school. If you look at Annette and Greg's blog, those pictures look much warmer!! (Just a different side of the world) We get snow and fog, Annette, Greg, Becky, and Ryan are in St. Lucia (island), Alicia and Dane are in sunny Florida, and Rick and Tarah are in Hawaii!! I want it to be WARM!

Birthday pictures

I made a cake for Aubrie and Uncle Dane. Dane's birthday is in April, but we won't see him in April. It was my first time playing with fondont.

I made sure each of them had their own candles to blow out.

This is a cinderella card that moves when you tip it. I am sure she will save it forever!
The jerky has a story. When I was preparing for Nate's baptism dinner, I asked him what he wanted to serve. His reply was Jerky. Aubrie thought that was great. She told me that was what she wanted for her birthday. So I bought jerky for Nate, Aubrie and Uncle Dane. We couldn't leave him out.
Mom did give him gum to go with the jerky!

$6.00 for a six year old, whose birthday is on March 6th! Pretty special.
Uncle Dane got presents too of course :)

It was a fun evening. Happy Birthday Aubrie and Uncle Dane.

The picture that I do not have is of Aubrie and her new baby dolls. I thought she would like them. I was wrong!!!! She hates them. She informed me that we can wrap it up and give it away to someone else. It has been days now, and I thought she would forget. Wrong! Still hates them. Refuses to look at them or play with them. The next little girl to send a birthday invitation very probably will receive two darling twin baby dolls.

I did it again!

It was Aubrie's 6th birthday yesterday. Yes I did it again. No pictures. This time there was nothing to blame it on. I just forgot to take my camera with us. My mom did have a camera phone. I hope at least one or two will turn out. We will see. I am planning on making her pose for some pictures later. We'll pretend I took some.

Her day started out with a new birthday outfit to wear to school. She got to take treats to her class so her backpack was bulging with brownies. She liked that. Then in the afternoon, we had a wonderful party at McDonald's. She invited 10 little girls-all girls was her theme. We had such a great time. Everyone was very generous in the gifts they brought. Aubrie really got a lot of very nice gifts. Thank you. McDonald's provided everything; happy meals, cake, hats, placemats, thank you gifts for coming, ice cream cones, and plates, forks, and candles for the cake.

After McDonald's Aubrie got a visit from her grandparents. She has loved her gifts.

To end off the day she threw what could only be described as the biggest birthday tantrum ever! She covered all tantrum bases; Kicking, screaming, throwing herself down, you name it.

Because she is loved so much by her Grandma and Grandpa they agreed to let her go home with them for a special sleepover. She turned her tantrum off like a light bulb, packed a bag and ran out the front door without even a wave to her mother. See ya Aubrie! Now I am home alone and blogging. Ha Ha She thinks she won.

I will post pictures when I get her home to pose for them :)
